Be Well
There are times when dentistry can be physically, mentally and emotionally challenging. For many, the busy holiday season is one of those times. The holidays can bring with it stressful moments personally and professionally. In this episode, you’ll find self-care and wellness resources and tips from guest Dr. Alex Barrera, a member of ADA Wellness Ambassador program to help you incorporate wellness into your everyday life.
The Changing Dentist Workforce
When it comes to practice modality, new data released by the ADA Health Policy Institute (HPI) indicates dentistry is heading down the path of medicine. HPI analyzed the latest 2021 dentist data and presented its findings in this webinar recorded March 9, 2022. Moderated by HPI Chief Economist & VP Marko Vujicic, PhD and presented by HPI Senior Research Analyst Bradley Munson, the webinar details who is practicing dentistry, where they are practicing and what this means for the future.
Tales from the Operatory
Every dentist has tales of difficult, confusing or downright weird situations. Our hosts and guest Kirthi Tata, DDS, share some sticky situations from dental school and the operatory, the solutions that got them through and lessons learned.
ADASRI Science in Seconds: Cell Atlas
Treating disease in the head and oral cavity could become easier thanks to work by the ADA Science & Research Institute. Scientists are creating a map of every oral and craniofacial cell to help improve our understanding of these cells’ molecular makeup, thereby potentially fostering innovation in the treatment of common and rare diseases. The work is part of the Human Cell Atlas initiative, in which researchers from around the world are creating a map to identify and describe every cell type in the human body.
